The Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FCEE) was formerly known as Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP) which was established in 1973. At that time, the Faculty comprised the Departments of Civil Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Environmental Engineering, and Art and Design.
In 1984, the Department of Art and Design became an independent faculty, now known as the Faculty of Art and Design. Subsequently, under ITB Rector's Decree No. 222/SK/K01/OT/2005 on the Management of Academic Units within ITB, the number of faculties and schools was expanded from seven (7) to eleven (11).
Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP) Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FCEE)As a result, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FTSL) was established, while the Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning programs were separated to form a new faculty, the School of Architecture, Planning and Policy Development (SAPPK).
Since 2006, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FTSL) has comprised four academic programs: Civil Engineering, Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Ocean Engineering.
Subsequently, under ITB Rector's Decree No. 257/SK/K01/OT/2007, the Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering Program was transferred to the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology (FITB). As a result, since 2008, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FCEE) has comprised three undergraduate programs: Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Ocean Engineering.
In 2012, three new academic programs were established: the Undergraduate Program in Environmental Infrastructure Engineering (RIL), the Undergraduate Program in Water Resources Engineering and Management (TPSDA), and the Master's Program in Water Supply and Sanitation Infrastructure Management (PIAS).
Since 2012, the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FCEE) at ITB has offered 13 academic programs.

Geodesy Transferred to FITB
The Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering Program was transferred to the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology (FITB).

The RIL, TPSDA, and PIAS programs were established.
