Humanitarian Engineering Responses for Disaster Housing
Brief Description
The Summer Course is aimed at discussing and providing an understanding of how humanitarian engineering is implemented in engineering projects and activities, especially those related to disaster housing.
Participants will have the opportunity to conduct field visits and explore case studies related to disaster housing, enabling them to gain practical insights into humanitarian engineering applications in real-world contexts.
The program includes lectures and discussions on humanitarian engineering from ethical, theoretical, and practical perspectives. Topics will cover sustainability, the role of engineers in disaster management and humanitarian response, as well as various aspects of implementation in disaster housing projects.
Interactive discussion-based activities and collaborative group projects will provide participants with opportunities to critically explore and envision how humanitarian engineering principles can be applied within their future professional practice.
