Air Pollution Mitigation from Forest and Peatland Fire in Indonesia

Brief Description

Tropical forest and peatland fires are environmental disasters that impact local, regional, and global ecosystems. To raise awareness and knowledge on this issue, FTSL ITB proudly presents APMEI 2025, an international virtual course designed for undergraduate and master’s students in science and engineering from Indonesia and around the world.

Participants will explore key topics such as:

● The impact of forest and peatland fires
● Air quality monitoring techniques and analysis
● Emission inventory
● Mitigation and adaptation strategies

Who could be a participant?

Open to undergraduate (3rd and 4th year) and master’s students in science and engineering programs.
Participants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
Eligible applicants:

● International students
● ITB students

Academic Credit

Course credits will be included in the academic transcript under the landing course TL4003 Wawasan Lingkungan C (3 credits).
